Maddox makes me giggle.

I've been terrible at updating and I have SO MUCH to blog about! And when that happens, I tend to get a little overwhelmed & just keep putting it off. This will hopefully give me a little jump start!

I'm going to start documenting all the funny things that my son, Maddox, says here on my blog. I usually put them in a facebook status or text my family or just write them down, but I'm going to start putting them here so they'll be easy for me to find! So yes, it's mostly just for me. ;)

Right now it's 2:36am and Maddox just woke up and ran in here to climb in the recliner with me...

Maddox: Mama, I love you. I love you the mostest.

Me: Well, I love you even more than that.

Maddox: I love you.. BIG.

Me: I love you the BIGGEST.

Maddox: Yeah me too...

And then he passed out again. lol. ♥

In less adorable news, mine and my friend's phones got stolen last night... BY A CAB DRIVER.

DEAD SERIOUS.

I get a new one on Monday but it won't be the exact same phone since mine was a limited edition Star Wars phone and they aren't available at all anymore. :(

Mommy Confession

Ok, don't judge me. Maddox is 3 years old and still REALLY hates sleeping in his bed. And by 'hates sleeping in his bed' I mean he refuses to do it. Normally he will fall asleep with me & I will either put him in his bed and pray that he stays there (which he never does for more than a couple of hours at a time) or I will just give up because I'm exhausted & take him to bed with me.

I know. The judging is happening. Believe me, I know. It's honestly just as much me as it is him. He is used to going to sleep with me there & I'm used to it too.

ANYWAY. Last night we finally got him to sleep in his bed for ALMOST the whole night.. like seriously, almost the whole night. It took him finally giving up naptime & then me going in and out of his room for 3 hours taking out whatever toy he decided was suddenly terrifying. Oy.

Tonight, he fell asleep within 30 minutes... I'm pretty impressed. haha. Hopefully soon we will move up to shutting his door without him freaking out!

I know we are hella late on this, but oh well. It happens.

Hopefully I sleep better tonight than I did last night!!

Tomorrow I will FINALLY make my blog post about Girl's Weekend!! It was the most fun everrrr!!! I have finally recovered! I'm old!

GGA 2011!!!

I haven't been posting much lately because I am still kind of recovering (physically, but most of all mentally) from our first annual Girl's Getaway.

Ok, I haven't ever actually been away from Maddox AND Bailey at the same time for more than a couple of hours. So this girl's weekend was a totally new thing for me! But it was amazing!!!

The girls I went with were Ursula & Stephanie (two wives of my husband's closest friends from Governor's School) & Allison (who I had NEVER met but was close friends with the other girls).. talk about IN LOVE. I love these ladies so so so so much. We are just meant to be drunk and at the beach together always and forever. haha ♥

We went to Pompano Beach / Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The drive was LONG.. but it definitely wasn't boring. LOLZ FOR DAYZ.

Our condo was amazing!! Good job Stephanie, for doing the research and picking it out! We did a lot of sleeping, drinking, eating, laying out at the beach, swimming at the pool with drinks in hand, & dancing / yelling / singing in bars... and we also went to a club for about half an hour. haha. We just HAD to so we could say we did. It was pretty horrifying, not gonna lie. It was like the Jersey Shore without MTV's editing.. and no Snookie. wtf.

Allison is a dance MACHINE. This was our first night at BOBBAAYYYYYY'S!!! I can't remember what the bar was really called but we loved the awesome bartender & his name was Bobby.. so yeah.

I could NOT get enough of this blue water. ♥ So in love.

That night we ate at Riverside Grille... amaaaaaazing. And we sat outside as a storm rolled up. It was beautiful!

I got lobster. Hell yes.

I ain't above wearin a lobster bib FYI. And that server? His name was Javan. He hit on me. Hard. WHAT. CRAZY. How you gonna hit on a girl after you put a bib on her??? LOL.

Mine & Urs' food! Stoked!

Stephanie was so bummed bc she just wanted a burger.. haha.. soooo she got Filet Mignon instead LOL...... & Allison.. straight edge til the drinks get here.

If you ever had any doubts about whether or not I am a total asshole.. here is your answer.

I know the rest of these are just horribly blurry for the most part.. so I apologize.. kind of. I was an off-duty mom that weekend!! WOOOOOOO!!!

And I'm an asshole again.
